Credit Card Program
DOMINICAN SISTERS OF SAN RAFAEL – SAN RAFAEL, CA
The Dominican Sisters of San Rafael teach, minister, care, heal, and reform. And in all that they do, they preach. As part of the Order of Preachers, a religious congregation founded by Saint Dominic de Guzman in 1206, the Sisters preach God’s Word to “bring the Gospel to bear with depth and compassion on the critical issues of our times.”
Throughout the Congregation’s rich history in California dating back to 1851, the Sisters have been committed to the apostolic life, focusing on those in need. Since the community’s founding more than 150 years ago, they have established and sponsored numerous educational, community, retreat, and health care institutions, and they continue to be actively engaged in critical social issues.
The apostolic works of these caring women keep them on the move. Their ministries take them into many situations that require reliable and readily available forms of payment for the goods and services needed to carry out the mission.
When the decision was made in 2005 to begin using Zielinski Companies’ Credit Card Program, the goal was to find a credit card that would meet the specific ministerial and living needs of their community. The program had to be flexible and enable cardholders to easily manage their accounts responsibly. Client service was a top priority.
Today, the Sisters with Zielinski Companies’ credit cards receive proactive information alerts, including fraud and suspicious activity notifications and reports that show fees, finance charges, and delinquent payments. Most importantly, assistance in addressing issues such as declined charges, fraud situations, and credit disputes is available to both management and individual cardholders.
The Congregation has also taken advantage of a unique feature within the program that enables cards to be restricted for specific purposes. In addition to general-purpose credit cards, the Sisters now have special restricted-use cards for medical purchases only, giving the financial office staff an added level of control and the ability to track and manage expenses more easily.
The Dominican Sisters of San Rafael profess their commitment to proclaiming God’s Word in their world. Through their continuous efforts to seek new and more effective ways to carry out their mission, the Sisters continue to put that commitment into practice.
